The strong start of the Chinese economy brings a warm atmosphere.

Multiple efforts are being made to promote the stable and long-term development of the Chinese economy. Combined with other positive news from various sectors, the "warm atmosphere" brought about by the strong start of the Chinese economy is evident.

Data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers on January 11th indicates that in 2023, China's automobile production and sales both exceeded 30 million vehicles for the first time, reaching a historic high.

In 2023, China's automobile production and sales reached 301.61 million and 300.94 million vehicles, respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 11.6% and 12%. Among them, automobile exports amounted to 4.91 million vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 57.9%. China is expected to become the world's leading exporter of automobiles. Currently, Chinese automobiles have been exported to more than 200 countries and regions.

The latest data on China's railway construction and development reveals that in 2023, the national railway completed fixed asset investment of 764.5 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth of 7.5%. This investment has been directed towards launching new railway lines, contributing to the opening of more inter-city railways in various regions.

As of the end of 2023, the operational railway mileage in China reached 159,000 kilometers, with high-speed rail covering 45,000 kilometers. Local railways accounted for 24,600 kilometers of operational mileage, featuring over 9,000 completed dedicated railway lines. Projects like the Guangdong inter-city railway, operated independently by local authorities, have been successively put into operation. There are 79 railway transport enterprises with administrative licenses in China.

On January 10th, the first direct high-speed train from Wuhan, Hubei, to Xining, Qinghai, was launched. This marks the inaugural direct high-speed rail service from Wuhan to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

At 11:45 a.m. on the same day, Train G852 departed from Wuhan station on schedule, bound for Xining. The train passed through major cities along the route, including Zhengzhou, Luoyang, Xi'an, Xianyang, Baoji, Tianshui, and Lanzhou. Covering a distance of 1,806 kilometers, the train arrived at Xining station at 8:54 p.m. on the same day, completing the entire journey in 9 hours and 9 minutes.
